LTI 1.3 – Compatibility details: One standard, many expansion stages
LTI 1.3 is an international IMS standard that enables different levels of functionality. As content providers pursue their own development plans, the supported range of functions can vary – some use LTI primarily for SSO or the course launch. It is therefore worth checking in advance whether the respective system covers all the required functions.
LTI connections between two Avendoo systems offer the advantage that further developments, tests and optimizations can be carried out completely in-house. External systems require coordination with additional parties.
Avendoo has comprehensively implemented the standard so that your learning world remains future-proof. We invite all providers to further expand their interfaces and focus on functions that make content maintenance easier and noticeably reduce the workload for authors.
If your desired content provider does not support the LTI standard or does not fully support it, Avendoo can of course still process its content. We support all common content formats, such as xAPI and SCORM. With Avendoo’s integrated eLearning authoring tool “Move”, you also have the option of creating your own content.
